The Riverside Museum in Glasgow

At Swift Asbestos removal we like to discuss some of the best places to visit in Scotland. Today we are discussing the Riverside Musem.

The Riverside Museum is a multi-award-winning transport museum in Glasgow. There are approximately 3,000 things on exhibit, including skateboards, trains, artworks, prams, automobiles, and a Stormtrooper.

Over 90 huge touch screen panels with photos, memories, and films telling the interesting tales behind the artefacts are available. A trip to Riverside is the perfect way to spend the day. The Riverside is a multi-award-winning museum on the banks of the River Clyde that houses over 3000 artefacts from Glasgow’s illustrious history. From skateboards and vintage vehicles to prams and strong trains, you’ll find an astonishing variety of items. You may even take a stroll down a cobblestoned Glasgow street lined with stores that date from 1895 to the 1980s.

With our interactive displays, you’ll be able to get your hands dirty. Visit the shops, bars, and metro stations of Glasgow as you stroll the streets. Board a train, tram, or bus to experience ancient public transportation. Explore Glasgow’s rich shipbuilding heritage, the automobile and motorcycle walls, and our interactive fire engine to help put out a fire.

The Tall Ship Glenlee, the UK’s only floating Clyde-built sailing ship, is berthed outside and is also free to explore. Step aboard this magnificent ship, where you’ll discover a variety of activities to keep the youngsters entertained, including a play area for children under the age of five in the cargo hold and a mouse hunt!
The Riverside Museum has something for people of all ages to enjoy.
